「我真的希望問題出在我身上」 「你總是說這個那個跟我沒關係，但我真希望跟我有點關係。其實如果任何人覺得我有關係，我可能就不會殺掉六個人。」 再後來導演用死刑犯的視角對螢幕前的我們說出「全世界都不在乎我，你也一樣」演員正對著挑戰性的凝視彷彿將觀影者作為訴說對象。大眾在討論殺人案件時，有人看到他的惡，有人會看到社會結構如何環環相扣在他身上作用，使他作為一個社會必然會出現的「問題」。但他也是一個人的存在啊。眼前的律師似乎只在乎讓世界變得更理想的過程，死刑犯只是通往正義的工具。 生日蛋糕讓我聯想到《嬰兒轉運站》關鍵的一場戲，IU飾演的年輕媽媽對著所有人一個一個點名說出「謝謝你的誕生。」獄警的重視讓他在死刑的前一刻感受到有人在乎他，至少是努力想要滿足他的願望。獄警潦草的字好像反而更貼近他想要的，因為更接近日常生活一般大眾家裡生日蛋糕的樣式，讓他稍微體驗到大家的家庭都是過什麼樣的生活。
