One day, her father, whom she hadn't seen in a while, suddenly appeared at school and took Yu-Hui and her younger sister to a secret seaside base. They spent a happy afternoon together, after which their father announced they were going on a 'trip abroad'. The young sister believed it was a game, but 10-year-old Yu-Hui knew she was facing a choice that would tear her family apart.
