The movie "Take us to the island" is based on a true tragedy: an old man surrenders himself after killing his seriously ill wife. Director Benson Koo changed the original public housing estate background to Cheung Chau, rewriting it into a gentle sketch of an old couple supporting each other. The film weaves through time with the intertwined old memories of the two, delicate and moving, while also subtly revealing the cruel reality of loneliness and helplessness in old age, making people feel heartbroken and unforgettable.
