Shaun is a lonely urbanite stuck in a dead-end job, desperate to make a connection with the people around him. The more he fails, the further he sinks into his obsession with puppetry. Haunted by the words of encouragement from his late father, Shaun puts his heart and soul into taking his puppetry skills to the next level. However, this only furthers his detachment from reality. In the end, Shaun can no longer grasp whether he's a puppet master controlling his own fate or a puppet being controlled by his own insanity.
