這部戲節奏是慢調很細膩，從兩個演員的肢體動作看得出來超出語言的表達，濃郁的情緒，豐富的感受，呈現女性之間的凝視感。很推薦！

高中因為看了這部才思考了一下凝視（Gaze）的議題，卡了好久好久，遇到了現在學校的克發老師才發現不用想這麼久也，目前給自己的初步解釋，是因為「凝視是根據一種原因然而凝視的」那麼如果那個權力關係不見了消失了， 如此我還需要大費周章凝視嗎？是啊，我可以休息了～
導演的鏡頭語言真的好美好美🥹雖然電影大部分的鏡頭都是靜的 卻從兩位女主角間細膩而深情的眼神交會（尤其是眼神！真的每一次對視都讓人情不自禁跟著深陷其中 導演跟演員們都太厲害了！）、克制卻相互渴望的肢體互動中感受到滿溢的情慾湧動 法國片果然不一樣（？ 對情感的描繪太深刻、太真實了 對十八世紀末女性處境的描繪也很深刻 既沒有各種「性別平等」說教式般地大聲疾呼，也沒有各種女力覺醒的濫情戲碼，只是很真實也很無奈地呈現當時女性的處境。兩位女主角注定沒有結果的戀情，也只是時代下的必然而已。
19:14 兩人無法抗拒分別的命運。在電影中女孩們就奧菲爾和尤莉迪斯的典故，有著奧菲爾回頭看妻子而失去妻子，是為了「記住這一刻」的「詩人的選擇」凌駕了身為「愛人的選擇」之詮釋，亦呼應畫家與小姐分離之際的回眸（或畫家預見的心像）。 但關於愛與創作，於此二人間，不正是一體兩面的嗎？回想，畫家當初是怎麼「看見」小姐？開頭的那場畫家主觀鏡頭跟拍小姐的戲，先是小姐的線條、輪廓，罩袍的剪影，推開門，到了光下，再來是顏色，藍紋黑底，跳動的袍子，連帽掉下，露出綰著的金髮，然後越跑越快，躍動的裙擺之下是白色長襪，最後才回過臉，亮出了她的五官。
1:54:34 《燃燒女子的畫像》的結尾在兩人分別後，給了另一「不可能的看見」，音樂廳對面的包廂中，畫家看見小姐，一同聆賞當初畫家彈琴說愛的樂曲。鏡頭逐漸拉近，超乎畫家肉眼可見的清晰，小姐的臉穿過了畫與記憶與時空而來，眼眶慢慢蓄積淚水，發紅，因反光而發亮，蹙眉，一滴淚水留下，玫瑰色嘴唇卻揚起。回到那一刻——這個深邃穿透的瞬間，再次看見了妳，再次看清了妳。
筆刷層層疊疊在畫布，每畫一筆，小姐的臉逐漸鮮明，每說一句話，更遞延後續的回應，挑釁或調情及其反身於各自「看見了什麼」，同步且逐漸成就這段藝術作品與感情。而最後，將所愛／所創作的巔峰，反覆的歷經、領悟，從不可見帶往可見，終致在回眸的分離時分「看見這（獨一無二）一刻」（如同當初「看見」小姐的跟拍回眸）——不可以直接教授，不可以單純訴說，不可以是一段光滑滿當的影像而無法感到開始與結束、無法感到成形與消逝⋯⋯。
