Where the World Meets on This Island
Taiwan may be small, but it has never stood apart from the world. From the semiconductor industry that reshaped the global technology landscape and Kinmen at the frontline of geopolitics, to Chien-Ming Wang on the stage of Major League Baseball and folk beliefs deeply rooted in family memory, these four films explore Taiwan through technology, history, sports, and culture—revealing how the island meets the world, and how, through each encounter, it has carved out a place of its own.
