2023-2024 Taoyuan Documentary Project
The "2023-2024 Taoyuan City Documentary Selection and Training Program" centers on the core concepts of "diversity" and "rebirth." This echoes Taoyuan's multifaceted character, aiming to establish the city's cultural profile amidst the interplay of old and new. This year's participants in the Taoyuan City Documentary selection and training program come from highly diverse age groups and professional backgrounds. Their film topics include discussions on parent-child and family relationships in "Mother's Words (2024)", "Father (2024)", and "The Lion Dancer and the Janitor (2024)"; portrayals of youthful restlessness and the rise and fall of dreams in "Student Diaries a Journey Through (2024)", "The Script of a Taxi Driver (2024)", and "Young Dude (2024)"; and narratives on the lives of new immigrants in Taiwan in "Sangpo, Sangmo (2024)" and "The Interpreter (2024)". With rich subject matter and varied styles, these films leave a beautiful and moving cinematic chapter for Taoyuan in 2024.
本屆活動以「多元」與「新生」作為主題,期望透過【 紀錄桃園,影像之城 】主標語,呼應城市的多元性格,也在新舊交替之間,建立起城市文化與輪廓。

Between Lines and Silence
Each of us follows a line of our own—a trace of time, slowly shaped by the moments that make up a life. As that line stretches forward and meets another, crossing and intertwining, a story quietly begins. Some move swiftly, some slowly; some linger in the stillness of everyday life, while others find themselves caught in another's path. These dialogue-free animated shorts use minimalist lines and color to capture the subtle movements of life. When words fall silent, lines begin to speak. May these brief moments invite you to pause, step into these stories, and perhaps discover where your own line meets another.
