Life is an unceasing flux, resisting simplification to a single identity, issue, or label. Our existence, often unseen in society's corners, unfolds with a resilience that defies time's attempts at erasure. Inspired by the journey of Rui-En, a young man navigating the aftermath of a tumultuous past, this documentary explores how life proliferates in adversity. Through Rui-En's lens, we capture the essence of striving against the lethargy that life often presents, seeking to carve out a space for potential, for beauty, amidst the chaos—a reminder of our enduring mark on the world.

The event attracted 343 Chinese-language short film project entries from around the globe, with 20 teams ultimately advancing to the finals. Thanks to the encouragement and support of numerous participants, we are thrilled to announce the grand premiere of the first wave of results this April! These nominated works cover a wide range of subjects, deeply reflecting issues of concern in the contemporary Chinese-speaking world. Come quickly and see the brilliant works from these teams!
