This film is based on the personal experiences of a female immigrant and documents the broken marriages of four foreign sisters—Yulan, Jinling, Ashi, and Meili—living in Taiwan. Each woman faces different family situations, ultimately finding themselves on a path of voluntary or involuntary separation. After their divorces, how will they choose the next step in their lives? And what challenges will their children face in terms of life and education after the breakdown of their parents' cross-cultural marriages?

From the women navigating cross-cultural marriages in *Out/Marriage*, to the Vietnamese migrant workers quietly laboring in hidden corners of Taiwan in *Goodbye, My Lovely Stranger*, and finally *And Miles to Go Before I Sleep*, which confronts the social and institutional structures behind the death of a migrant worker, these three documentaries span a decade of stories about people crossing borders—living, working, loving, and losing in Taiwan. To see them again is also to see anew the island we all share.
