Xi Xi has been writing since the 1950s, covering poetry, film reviews, scripts, novels, essays, and encyclopedia-style innovative writing of pictures and texts. She is constantly creating, mastering it with ease, and always maintaining her innocence and insight. Director Fruit Chan follows the vision in Xixi's works and records the writer's writing life. Xixi's diverse stylistic structures and keen insights into the city are implicitly or explicitly expressed in the video narrative as the camera zooms, pans, cuts and collages, metaphorizing the eternal existence of the characters in the writer's works in the streets of Hong Kong. When the old shops in the city disappear one by one, the emotions and explorations in literature will continue to reflect reality.
