A single grain of rice nourishes a hundred kinds of people—though rooted in Asia, each land holds its own distinct character. Giloo presents ten handpicked documentaries on customs and religions, journeying from East Asia to Central Asia to reveal the countless faces of this vast continent.
In the name of God, what insane acts are humans capable of? A village sacrificing infants, a messiah imprisoning children with drugs, a desperate mother eating lotus flowers raw... Faith can inspire the noblest virtues, yet can also corrupt humanity into its deepest evils. Once the boundary of lost reason is crossed, do believers need a deity, or do they need the self that loves it?

Faith is a dwelling place of the heart—a quiet sense of belonging, of ease, of return. Do you believe the world is kind to you today? Have you ever wondered why you were born into this world? As a part of nature, of all living things—where do you stand?
A boy who survived ethnic cleansing, a sled athlete pushing the limits of the body, a protester labeled a rioter, a former firefighter painting cat graffiti on the streets of Tamsui… These individuals, each carrying their own story, leave behind glimpses of life through the camera lens — and in doing so, offer living proof of their communities' existence. Follow Giloo on a journey through lives of every kind — there's always a greater story waiting to be discovered.
