本紀錄片記錄的，是2016年，PJ Harvey與專輯製作人Flood (New Order、U2)、John Parish (Eels、Tracy Chapman) 在倫敦薩默塞特宮地下室，一個開放性的創作計畫，以及此專輯紀錄下的，阿富汗、科索沃與美國華盛頓黑人特區的走訪過程，與創作對應交織而成的話語。語彙時而幽默時而嚴厲，詼諧與控訴相呼應，但也同時閃耀著絕處的生命力以及人性光輝，而神奇的是，種族、語言與宗教的差異，都在音樂裡自然消融，最終我們發現，人類聞音起舞的樣貌，以及因著生存信手捻來的創作姿態，原來可以如此相像。
英文片名《A Dog Named Money》是《地下希望工程》（The Hope Six Demolition Project）裡面的其中一首歌，而它的靈感，則是來自Harvey與攝影師謝默斯．墨菲（Seamus Murphy）在華盛頓黑人特區認識的，把自己的狗取名為「Money」的幫派女孩。
《地下希望工程》（The Hope Six Demolition Project）裡面的第一首歌，同時也是紀錄片裡的最後一首歌〈The Community Of Hope〉，是取材自華盛頓一個名為「HOPE VI」的計畫。該計畫宗旨是藉由整修貧民窟房舍來杜絕犯罪，但最後卻讓原本的居民無力負擔房租，只能被迫搬離。
PJ Harvey其實是她的本名 - Polly Jean Harvey的縮寫，她的父母對爵士樂非常痴迷，也因此Harvey在11歲時便接觸了各式各樣的樂器，包括薩克斯風、大提琴、小提琴、鼓與吉他。除此之外，Harvey從小一直很希望自己可以成為一個男孩，後來在她的創作中，女性特質則被以相當張狂、暴烈的姿態呈現。
1988年（我一歲那年......），19歲的Harvey加入由John Parish在1983年成立的樂團Automatic Dlamini，幾年後她把團中的兩位團員Rob Ellis和Ian Oliver揪出來另組了一個三人團體，正式以「PJ Harvey」問世。1995年，Harvey與團員們拆夥單飛，把本紀錄片的《地下希望工程》（The Hope Six Demolition Project）製作人之一，也就是當年的John Parish又給找了回來，再加上幾位厲害的製作人（ Bad Seeds、Mick Harvey等），合力做了《To Bring You My Love》這張專輯，它後來被Spin 雜誌選為1990年代最偉大的專輯第三名。
