片中的光影變化讓我聯想到女主角在片中的感情和生活中也是一直處於迷惘的狀態，覺得很像年輕時常有的那種不知道自己想要什麼的感覺。整部電影沒有很明確的答案，但反而看完後還會一直回想其中的畫面和情緒。曾經迷惘的自己和人生在時間也過去了
女主角在一段爛掉的感情裡不斷鬼打牆，明明知道該跑，卻又像中毒一樣離不開。侯孝賢用那種晃到不行的鏡頭，拍出了我們年輕時都可能有的樣子—以為在享受自由，其實只是在揮霍寂寞。
一開始雖是因為舒淇很漂亮，和著名的基隆那座藍色燈光下的橋。但觀影後，意識到導演刻畫出女主角面對愛情的各種不得不，特別深刻有趣。 再來林強的配樂也是全片的點睛之筆，因為千禧曼波愛上林強這位鬼才！！
