《日麗》看似是父女日常的溫情家庭片，然而在平凡的日常裡，父親的心裡卻不曾平靜。看完之後會覺得心情很沈重，有一種話講到一半，卻沒辦法傾瀉而出的感覺，最後這些傷痛還是只能往肚子裡吞，繼續過一個看似平凡的生活。
Aftersun 琢磨在更多畫面與情感的呈現，對劇情沒有過多的解釋，有許多地方都需要靠觀眾自行腦補、理解，也讓我在觀看電影的同時想了許多。對我來說是一部平靜、安然的電影。導演的拍攝手法也很有趣，像是Sophie多出現在主要畫面，而她爸爸多是以倒影的方式呈現。

劇情單純卻吸引人，導演以內斂的角度拍攝電影，每個聲音和畫面都有著其意義，大量的留白讓觀眾去慢慢解讀，是一部值得一看再看的好電影。
看完這部片，就好像盯著烈日太久，留下淡綠色的模糊暈影。
本片有太多優點， 畫面優美、人物表現自然、劇情平淡卻深植人心。 父女間的情懷，似乎並未隨著時間消散， 反而跟著回憶愈發濃厚。

2022年，來自英國蘇格蘭的導演 Charlotte Wells 藉首部長片《日麗》（Aftersun） 拿下坎城影展國際影評人週評審團獎、英國影藝學院獎最佳新導演。早在 2016 年完成第一部短片《無人知曉的週二午後》（Tuesday）時，Wells 便意識到他還想要講更多跟父親相關的記憶。在 Film Companion 的訪問片段中，他提到《日麗》跟《無人知曉的週二午後》 是姐妹作，在同一世界裡，表達同樣的哀傷——「在翻閱舊相冊時，我驚訝的發現與父親共度的假期照片裡，他看起來是如此的年輕，而我也快到他當時的年紀了。」
