No matter where you are, not just in Taiwan, international movie fans can easily watch too! The first wave of films from emerging creators are now live in our international section. Featuring top selections from prestigious film festivals like Golden Horse Awards and Golden Harvest Awards, as well as many highly anticipated emerging works for you to explore anytime, anywhere!
Since 2024, Giloo has officially launched its international viewing service, joining hands with creators around the world to present a curated selection of over a hundred acclaimed films. A good story doesn’t need to be long! Giloo presents nine short films by emerging Taiwanese directors, delivering bold and punchy cinematic language that challenges everything you thought you knew about film.
This curated selection features short films highlighted in the "Golden Harvest Awards: The Talk" series. From the debut works of emerging directors to the sophisticated dialogues of mature cinema, we sincerely invite you to revisit the core insights from the talks through these selected films and explore the boundless creative vitality of short-form filmmaking.

Looking back on 2021—a year shaped by a disrupted daily rhythm, rising geopolitical tensions, and unforgettable moments on the Olympic stage—Giloo presents nine of the year’s most popular films. We hope each one leaves a lasting impression on your heart.
"I love you, yet hate you!" Your countenance, your gestures, your radiance—like lightning and flint sparks—are a red balloon that drifts farther the more it is called, a mottled soul writhing in electric illusion, a silhouette branded into white snow, an evil flower blooming from rotting flesh, beautiful as a painted landscape. I have decided to pursue you through light and shadow, to discover what made you make that decision.
Through documentaries, we are able to step into issue frontlines that are often inaccessible in everyday life. Gender, LGBTQ+, labor, ethnicity, migrant workers, environmental protection… This curated list showcases a selection of documentaries that delve deeply into diverse social issues. From the dark corners of child sexual abuse to plastic recycling factories at the end of the global waste stream, these films lead viewers to confront hidden realities and listen to voices that deserve to be heard.
A roundup of the top 10 hits of the year—let’s relive them together!
There is nothing new under the sun—but what about after the sun goes down? In the night, a boy uncovers a shocking secret. Urban souls wander in sleepless disquiet. A woman “goes to sea,” while a man dives into dark waters to catch baby eels. Some secretly protect humankind, some hope to change the world before dawn. Violence hides in the shadows, while others unite to speak out for those who’ve lost their voice. Following the success of our first installment, Giloo proudly presents the second wave of Taiwan Shorts Showdown—six gripping short films that reveal what stirs in the dark. Be warned: even in the night, the gods are watching.
