《說故事的人》與「說故事會」：多重世界的套疊
《說故事的人》一開始，透過鏡頭擺置的高度，觀眾仿若在一個「說故事會」（お話会）的現場就座。此時小野和子充當主持，由伊藤正子、佐藤玲子和佐佐木健三人輪流講述故事，其中還包含兩個從屬於同一個故事文本的異文（variants）。他們不互相插嘴，也不去質疑，只是輪流將故事按時間並陳。
《亂世備忘》：自由還在那不能遺忘的遠方
2014年，台灣的太陽花學運結束後不久，雨傘運動於香港接棒登場。這是一個以「真普選」為訴求的公民抗命運動，由年輕人策劃主導，登高一呼，佔領街頭，希望由下而上，由裡而外，讓政府聽見人民的訴求、讓世界聽見香港的聲音，使得香港的現狀及未來有機會被改變⋯⋯
